Emily Fairweather is an actress and screenwriter from the North East of England. She graduated from Northumbria University with a BA Honors degree in Media Production and went on to complete her classical acting training at Drama Studio London.

Emily has recently completed writing her first full episode commission on series two of BBC’s 'The Mallorca Files’ and is currently working on episodes of two new series for both ITV and UKTV. A number of her own original series are also in development.

As an actor, Emily has performed on stage, as well as guest leads in TV Shows such as 'Doctors’, and has appeared in both 'Coronation Street’ and as a semi-regular character in several episodes of 'Emmerdale’.

Emily’s work usually features strong, witty and flawed women and there is often a hyper-realistic twist or fantasy element to her stories. She has a passion for writing dark comedy dramas, sci-fi and murder mystery, but above all, enjoys creating real, relatable and complex characters, anti-heroines and misunderstood villains.
